Fun with Props: The Resistance Band
Use the resistance band to add spice, challenge and variety to your classes
The resistance band is a great way to add variety and strengthen your classes. They’re easily adaptable, so by slightly changing your movements you can challenge your muscles in different ways. The resistance bands allows you to increase or decrease resistance simply by shortening or lengthening the band. This course includes over 25 exercises for you to start incorporating into your classes straight away. Each exercise is demonstrated in a video and accompanied with instructions (just like you would see in a manual) on how to teach them.
This course includes:
- 3 x warmup exercises
- 8 x upper body exercises
- 7 x lower body exercises
- 6 x core exercises
Also included are longer videos that show how you can put all of these exercises into a sequence.
It's a wonderful course to assist you in bringing additional props into your class to help strengthen your exercises.
Your Instructor
Rebecca first started practicing yoga out of a book at age 17 when she was told she would never become a professional dancer unless she sorted out her posture! Since then, Yoga and Pilates have become the backbone of her health. After a successful dance career travelling the world, Rebecca completed her Pilates Instructor training in 2011. Then completing her 200 hour yoga teacher training in 2013, followed by well over 500 hours of teacher training since then, with esteemed teachers such as Maty Ezraty, Noelle Connolly and Simon Park. All her classes are inspired by dance like movement that feels good in the body. With a strong focus on the transitional elements in each exercise and posture and letting the breath guide every moment.
