Ball short course

How to create fun and dynamic classes by incorporating the Pilates ball. (Our favourite prop.)

Small things can have the biggest impact. Tequila shots. Smiling at strangers. And Pilates balls. The latter is the perfect prop to improve movement control, balance, posture, toning, and strength. Tequila shots on the other hand? Not so much.

This course will teach you how to include the Pilates ball in your classes so you can add variety, spice, and coordination. Each exercise is broken down in a video and is accompanied with teaching instructions, alignment tips, and modifications.

You’ll also receive two full-length classes to show you how to sequence the ball in a creative way. Ex-squeeze-me, expert teacher coming through.

Gabrielle Gavin
Gabrielle Gavin

Originally from South Africa, Gabrielle came to Australia to pursue full-time studies in classical ballet. She then completed a BA Degree in Arts at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) majoring in contemporary dance, which has lead her to work with local and international artists.

Gabrielle has also completed her Personal Training and STOTT Pilates qualifications as well as her 200 hour Yoga qualification with InYoga. Her classes and training programs draw upon these disciplines making the content diverse and beautifully considered.
As a member of Barre Body’s original teaching team, Gabrielle has had years of refining her own teaching style and truly immersing herself in the barre method of exercise. With a deep passion for uncovering new techniques and modifications to offer truly exceptional, safe and dynamic classes, Gabrielle has effectively mentored our Sydney Barre Body teaching team and has facilitated Barre Body's teacher training program in Sydney, Melbourne, Byron Bay, Perth and Bali.
