While Barre is our heritage, Barre Body has now been running our signature flowing and fun Pilates Mat classes at all 6 of our studios for years. We’ve trained hundreds of teachers and thousands of clients in the Pilates method, and we hear the same thing time and time again: our Pilates Mat classes are truly something special. That’s because we don’t just teach the repertoire. You’ll learn all the exercises of course, but more importantly, we’ll teach you how to sequence your classes with dynamic layering, seamless transitions, and funky variations. You’ll learn not just what to teach, but why and how. And as a result, you’ll graduate knowing how to design flowing, feel-good, fun Pilates classes, that your clients will love you for.

Our Pilates Mat teacher training course is 150 hours of fun! So you know exactly how those hours are made up, here is a breakdown (before you have one):

  • 10 hours pre-training
  • 47 contact hours delivered in the studio (if you’re participating in the face to face course) or online
  • 25 hours anatomy self-study via online review modules
  • 25 hours repertoire self-study via online review modules
  • 25 hours in-class observation and participation at Pilates, Yoga, and/or Barre Studios
  • 15 hours independent practice teaching
  • 3 hours assessment prep and recording. You can submit your assessment up to 6 months after you complete your in-studio hours
  • Weekly guidance, feedback and mentoring via emails and Facebook community

Liana Hudson

Liana has been passionate about dance and movement throughout her whole life. After finishing up Ballet after 8 years, she then decided to continue her love for movement and helping others through movement and Pilates. She has completed a Certificate III & IV in fitness and is trained in Pilates Mat, Barre and Reformer. She is now concentrating on her role at Barre Body in Teacher Trainings which is where her passion continues to grow as she is able to watch people grow and learn about their passion to become a Barre, Pilates or reformer instructor. Liana's classes offer strong movements with a side of light heartedness and balletic moves.
